Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.

End of the Prologue
Finally everyone is in the same room!

Percival: Got his invitation to the Grand Exhibition from his mentor Teague Canavan. Before the fair began he tried to track down the whereabouts of the halfling that wandered off with the drow.

Hjulnar: After gnolls (armed with spells) destroyed his village of Silverhold, there wasn’t much left there for Hjulnar. He was given a pony, 87 silver, and the invitation to the Grand Exhibition so he could try to make his way. This makes him the leading authority on silver dragons.

Merla Tealeaf: Came to town as a member of Finbar’s Over The Moon performing troupe. After resisting the urge to help Finbar “misplace” his copy of the invitation, Merla was asked to help deal with one of the drow ambassadors (Rhys) who had wandered away from the Imperial grounds. Her being from Runfield apparently makes her the authority of dealing with slightly inebriated drow. At the fair, Rhys snuck her into the Gand Exhibition tent early. There she encountered the captive drow, drank some tea, and was given a quest (to bring the orca’s children home) and a very large pearl. There was also a spider who may have been a hallucination.

When the Imperial retinue entered the “private party” area of the tent they were shortly joined by two large cat people who had backwards hands. The male was orange and white striped and the female was black and white striped. There was also a very large, very female gnoll in the group. She has black spots on her tawny fur and is dressed in a manner very similar to the drow captives. There is a grey silk cloth tied over her left eye.

Chapter 1: Party Crashing

At the imperial party Merla was discovered by Hjulnar and Percival. They “made friends” with a very large gnoll named Ganac’isha.

Merla is getting advice from a small voice behind her ear.

Hjulnar got very happy on bakga tea and proceeded to make himself “popular” at the party.

Silverhand invited Merla, Percy, and Hjulnar to a breakfast meeting and upgraded their digs to the Gilded Snipe.

Merla found out that the stuffed gnolls were Ganac’isha’s children. When she showed Ganac’isha the pearl, the gnoll picked her up and they went to Percy’s room.

For a while the party spoke in Percy’s room. Then a shadow passed by the window. A maid then showed up with a kettle of water and Percy’s laundry. When they let her into the room, she turned into a dragon. Hjulnar noticed that the black dragon had the silhouette of a silver dragon.

Merla did manage a strike to the dragon’s face and Hjulnar cut off the tip of its tail. But the group was overmatched and they ran. Percy dragged Ganac’isha out of the room. In the common room of the inn everyone was dead.

They fled to the Garrison where Lt. Carla sent everyone to the Cleric to get patched up. She sent a squad of soldiers to investigate.
